This 37 page book was made for students who needed a smaller, at your fingertips reference guide for basic math skills in grades 4,5 and 6. With a step by step guide for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers, fractions and decimals in addition to references for geometry, problem solving and key math terms, students can quickly look up basic skills and work step by step.

While every math textbook goes into these skills more in depth, this detail can often be overwhelming for a struggling student. Having a more simplistic reference guide is helpful for in class and homework. In addition, the color coding allows the student to follow the steps even better. All you need to do is print, chop each page in half and bind. For more durability, laminate the pages before binding and keep a couple copies in your resource center for whole class use, too. Also a great reference guide for students you are tutoring...small and easy to carry around!

I purchased this product, but when I tried to download it, many of the words, pictures, and diagrams shifted. What should I do? daisy.boutique@yahoo.com. It is such a great resource.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:
Subject Area:

This is my ninth year teaching, although I don't know where the time has gone! I've taught in both 4th and 5th grade self-contained classrooms in private, Catholic schools, but have worked as a student teacher in public schools, too. In addition, I've worked as a tutor for students ages 5-17 in both language arts and math. I also have taught fifth grade Catholic Faith Formation. I love teaching and can't imagine myself in any other profession!
