A list of 43 math words defined with examples. Use these for your math word wall or use them for your word of the day or week. These words are not in alphabetical order and were created for a 4th grade class, but can certainly be used with other levels. Words include: addends, equation, factor, acute angle, right angle, angle, area, algebra, average or mean, bar graph, circle graph, common factor, congruent, cube, cylinder, denominator, diameter, dividend, end point, numerator, equivalent fractions, faces, hexagon, line graph, line segments, median, mode, multiples, number line, number sentence, obtuse angle, parallel, parallelogram, pentagon, perimeter, percent, perpendicular, pictograph, planes, polygon, product, pyramid, quadrilateral.

I had these printed out and laminated and posted around my math centers bulletin board. I would change them depending on what we were learning or what needed extra reinforcement.
