Doing this now... the kids are loving it! They are quite concerned about what will happen to their bugs when the project is over... opportunity to explain circle of life!
Rachel Lamb thank you for making mealworms look as cute as I think they are. My students warm up to our unit a little quicker because of these cutesy sheets that teach us so much about mealworms.
I can't wait to use this unit. Mealworms were added to our curriculum last year, but the resources provided were terrible. After finding this unit, I'm looking forward to teaching the students about Mealworms. Now if you only had something similar for Silkworms, Milkweed Bugs and Brassica Seeds, I'd be forever grateful :-)
We "grew" mealworms last year to observe their lifecycle. I am so excited to add your ideas to our project this year. This lesson packet has so many great bulletin board ideas and organizers. I love the booklet too! Thank you so much!
Very nicely done!! so much more FUN than the items in our existing curriculum!! My students loved the booklet. I saw them transfer a lot of the info into their journals. Thank you!

Great supplement to my existing curriculum. The illustrations are great. The materials offer many options for whole class, individual, and small group activities.
Thanks so much for creating this unit. I am a resident teacher and plan on incorporating some of the work in my takeover week! There seems to be an error when I open a few pages as a PDF as some of the words are blurred lines (e.g. contents page of the mini book, e.g. page two of the mealworms on parade TOU).
Hey Josh,
This is "usually" due to opening in Preview on a Mac rather than downloading OR not have the most updated Adobe. If you've double checked those, shoot me an email at rachel.lamb81 @gmail.com
Thanks!
