I thought this game would involve measuring clipart animal pictures, not just units of measurement.

This is a lovely game for students to practice identifying the best unit of measurement. It would make a good file folder or manilla envelope game that could be used in a center since it is self-checking. The game board looks really cool. Thanks for the game!

The measurements are inches, feet, yards, miles, Fahrenheit, ounces, pounds, cups, quarts and gallons. There is a deck of cards with clues such as, "the weight of an elephant's tusk". One student reads the card and the other student has to determine what measurement is used for the answer (pounds). The correct answer is on the card. If the answer is correct, the player places a marker on a circle marked with the word "pounds". Play continues until a player has four game markers in a row - vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
