This lecture gives a brief overview of each of the art periods of the middle ages: Early Christian art, Byzantine art, Romanesque Art, and Gothic Art. It would be well-suited for a short lesson or lecture on art history of this time period. It includes specific details of the art and architecture that can help identify the style, as well as great artworks from the style, such as The Head of Constantine, Book of Kells, San Vitale, and cathedrals of the Romanesque and Gothic styles. 31 slides. After giving this lecture, my students do the Medieval Web Activity, which I have also offered for sale.
