This is a mini unit for students to complete around Memorial Day (last Monday in May.) For many of us, this will be around the end of the school year. The activities are fun and provide a great review of skills taught throughout the year.

-- math word problems worksheet (4 problems: practicing multiplication, perimeter, addition, and subtraction)

-- Literacy Center Task cards [to be used with finding nouns/verbs, or identifying fact/opinion - comes with 2 student worksheets]

Fun little unit teaching about Memorial Day--great to squeeze in that short week! Loved the craftivity--we're using it as an extra decoration for our Olympic end of year celebration!

My third graders really liked the activities.
Just a side note, I purchased the coorelating craftivity and didn't realize the craftivity included was the same one. Don't purchase the coorelating craftivity with this unit.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught preschool (ages 3-5) for 4 years. I'm going into my 2nd year of teaching in the public school systems. Last year, I taught 2nd grade in a high poverty area. Next year, I will be looping with my students to 3rd grade. I love my job and feel fortunate to be able to enjoy my work.
