This is a FULL COURSE developed product. It is designed to teach Developing Conceptual Understanding of Number using Mental Math. There are a total of 11 different units with 7 sub-sections in each unit with the excpetion of 1 which has 16 sub units. There is also a full set of answers. Units include: 1) APPLICATIONS, 2) COMPARING NUMBERS, 3) COORDINATE GEOMETRY, 4) DECIMAL, FRACTION, PERCENT, 5) GEOMETRY, 6) NUMBER THEORY, 7) PERIMETER & AREA, 8) PRE-ALGEBRA PATTERNS, 9) RELATIVE SIZE, 10) REPRESENTING NUMBER, 11) WHOLE NUMBER OPERATIONS. There are a total of 86 different lessons which can be used to develop conceptual understanding of number. I have used it for years with great success. It is easily adaptable, editable and you can easily create your own to suit your classes needs. I have used the lessons in a variety of ways. Create an overhead and deliver to a whole class in a short time using mental math, put students in small groups and have them present discoveries which leads to some great math discussion or in other ways that suit your class. I have found that my kids are able to increase their mental math abilities at least a full grade level by using the program effectively. I am a big believer in mental math and I try to have my kids use it as much as possible. I find when they find confidence in not using the calculator they start to really like math.
