This is a mnemonic teaching strategy I have used for years to help students memorize metric prefixes and know how to convert metric measurements. When converting any metric units (meters, liters, grams) students can use this same strategy. TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 8th year of teaching. Most of my teaching experience has been in 5th grade, but I taught 4th grade for two years and looped with those classes. I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading and received National Boards Certification in Middle Childhood. Being an elementary teacher, I teach all subject areas and think about ways to engage children in content through collaboration and discussion.
