This product is a simulation activity that was very successful in a 7th grade inclusion Social Studies class. Students are "born" into countries of the Middle East. They then must barter or trade the resources available to them. They have a list of "needs" that they must reach in order for their citizens to be happy.
There is some photocopying and pasting involved, but nothing that can't be done sitting in front of the television.
