Mighty Multiplication and Dynamic Division is a hands-on activity created by Terry Palmieri to introduce multiplication and division to primary students. The easy to follow directions card makes it ideal for independent use in a learning center or small group setting. Children use a workmat and ordinary objects (such as pennies, cereal, cubes, counting bears, paper clips, etc.) to act out a multiplication or division fact, then use the optional recording sheets to write their fact and answer. The dual purpose workmat is used for both operations, so students can see the relationship between multiplication and division.
The set comes with directions card, workmat, 36 fact cards (18 for each operation) and a recording sheet for each operation. Simply reproduce the workmat and fact cards on heavy paper (laminate, if desired), cut the cards apart and the activity is ready to use!
