What better way to reinforce reading easy sight words and CVC words then have the children put the subject and the predicate of a sentence together and make silly sentences. My students love this and it is a center I can keep out ALL year long. The children match the subject to a predicate and read the sentence. When they are done they can pick on of their favorite silly sentences and write it and then draw a picture.
I am sure these silly sentences will get some giggles....great writing activity idea. Thank you!

I turned this into a game as well by laminating the cards-we had fun building the sentences as they should be, but then we also built some silly sentences for fun!

My kids had a lot of fun with this. You could tell when they really "got it". Their faces lit up, and they giggles when someone near them didn't have it.
