Young children are in the midst of learning to identify coins as well as determine the value of a collection of coins.
This traditional game of BATTLE gives students an opportunity to practice those skills in a fun format.
In a math center:
(1)these cards (or a subset of the cards) could also be used to order the values from least to greatest
(2)first two pages could be used as a matching (concentration style) game
However you choose to use these cards in your class -- students will learn and enjoy working with money.

After many years in the classroom, I was the math coordinator for Educational Service Center Region XIII in Austin, TX. After several years at the ESC I became the K-12 math coordinator for Round Rock ISD in Texas. I regulary present at NCTM national, regional and local conferences. I have also trained over 3000 teachers in the CGI philosophy.
