Young children are in the midst of learning to identify coins as well as determine the value of a collection of coins.
This traditional game of BATTLE gives students an opportunity to practice those skills in a fun format.
In a math center:
(1)these cards (or a subset of the cards) could also be used to order the values from least to greatest
(2)first two pages could be used as a matching (concentration style) game

However you choose to use these cards in your class -- students will learn and enjoy working with money.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope that you have also had a chance to look at my 'I Have/Who Has?' money game. Mary Alice Hatchett
