This activity packet includes 9 mystery cards students have to solve to unveil a surprise picture! Each mystery card contains pictures of various sets of coins. Students must read each set, write the corresponding number, and color in that number cell on a corresponding 100's chart {also included}. 9 answer keys are included in this packet as well. These mystery pictures can be completed as an individual task OR as a whole group oral/listen & follow directions lesson. The mystery pictures are color coded and help reinforce color words as well. The mystery pictures include a goldfish, star, candle, raindrop, robot, rocket, dinosaur, house, and a flower.
I love that this packet has pictures of varying difficulty!

These are my favorite!! I already have the place value set and the kids loved them, while learning at the same time:) Are there any other math sets available?

This will be a fun way to practice money amounts. Thanks!

I teach 2nd grade and am interested in this mystery picture set, however, I am wondering if it's challenging enough. Do they all have mixed coins or do the first few pictures start out with very small/easy amounts of money to count?
Hi Cara, I have purchased quite a bit from you and LOVE it all! Do you have any type of Christmas thank you note stationery? Basically just a cute graphic and "thank you" on the front but blank on the inside? Something to jot thank you notes to students? Thanks!
Ooooohh....No! I don't! But that sounds like something I can offer as a freebie!!! I'll start working on that! GREAT idea!!! Look for it {free} on the blog and here on TpT within the next couple of day!! Thanks for the idea! Blessings to you!!
Hi Cara,
I really love your money mystery pictures but as I'm an Aussie teacher I can't use your coin sheets. If I buy the kit, would you be able to email me blank versions of the question card so I could add Aussie coins?
Thanks,
Sharon Hampson

I love the mysteries! I just purchased the money one today and whenever I print #7, I get "x's" on the very last box. Could you e-mail me/re-post it please? Thanks
Hi there!
There are supposed to be X's in that box :) There were an uneven number of coin sets, so I filled the last box with x's :) Sorry for the confusion!
I've been teaching for 10 years. I spent 7 years teaching Kindergarten and then moved up to 2nd grade and loved it! I didn't know what I was missing. A year later I moved to 1st grade and I'll never look back. It's the best!
