This poster,by Marisa Curtis of First Grade Glitter and Giggles, can be used in a poetry folder, on a meeting board, or math journal to reinforce coin value. Students can practice singing or reciting the Money Song to strengthen both coin recognition and coin counting objectives.
Used this today and will continue using it. Simple enough but catchy too! I'm pulling out all the stops as my two firsties just aren't getting the coin names and amounts easily. Thanks for including both the names and amounts as well as visuals of the coins on this resource. :) I shared a link back to this on my blog. It is so helpful!!!
I use these every year. They're great. I made up one for half dollar and dollar. If you're interested email me at leighann.penrod@nebo.edu

There are 2 more verses:
Half a dollar, half a dollar,
Giant size.
50 cents to buy some fries.
Dollar, dollar, green and long,
With 100 cents you can’t go wrong

Thanks, I love this. Adding this to our "calendar board" in our homeschool classroom.

It actually isn't set to a tune of a specific song. My class uses it as more of a rhyme than a song. We recite the rhyme one money section at a time, pausing between each section. I hope that helps you out a bit! Enjoy!

I have just come across your delightful "Money Song". I LOVE IT! Wondering what tune it is sung to?
