This is a super fun activity! It has a recording sheet for the children and "items" to buy. You will need to do one simple step of attaching the price to the tags (all included). Also, you will need to have coins in a bag(we have the plastic kind), one bag for each child. If you have coins then you will love this activity!
It is simple: pass out the coin bags, one to each child. Give each child a recording sheet. They are to count the coins in their bag and keep that amount in their head. Then show the item they are to "buy" (choose a random item-with the amount on the tag). They are to circle if they can buy the item or not and depending on the level, they can make change if they CAN buy the item. Then have the children pass the bags so they have a new bag with a new amount, and show a new item to buy! My second graders LOVE this activity! :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 13th year teaching. Wow, where did the time go? I have taught 7 years in first grade and I am currently on my 6th year in second grade. Which do I like better you ask? I have reasons to love them both! I think first grade made me the teacher I am today. My heart is in second though. I am lucky to work in a wonderful school with wonderful students!
