Mrs. Miner's Monkey Business presents a unit which is a yearlong methodic unit that introduces popcorn words to kindergarten children. This 100+ page unit includes EVERYTHING you need to implement this program starting tomorrow! It follows the McMillan McGraw Treasures sequence of introducing high frequency words (or sight words) to kindergarten children, so it is research based. The unit includes assessment trackers, quiz templates, parent/child friendly study sheets and center sheets for each unit, as well as all of the popcorn words ready to be hung up on your word wall. Plus, much, much more! You will not be disappointed..this is an all-inclusive unit that is teacher and student friendly (plus, it's really cute with a Monkey Movie theme throughout!).

I sent an earlier email noting some things that were mixed up or missing....I wondered if you have had a chance to fix the popcorn unit words...remember "come" was in place of "with" in the unit along with some other things. Yes, Ellie, I have gotten your emails. The problem is that I do not have this file on this computer. I will have to see if I can even boot up my old computer (which isn't even in my possession anymore) to get it sent to me. I am working on it...and understand you are anxious. Actually, you use them both at the same time. They both follow along the same words, but provide you with different activities to practice the words in different ways. Does that make sense or help?? I use all of the activities in both to move my spelling program along for the year. Hope this helps!

The words in this unit are taken directly from Treasures McGraw Hill Reading Program. I can only presume they are dolch words, but I honestly haven't matched up. It is a research based program. Hope this helps!

Do you have the second page to the Burnt popcorn activity? It stopps in the middle of the directions? Also, there is a typo on the front cover. It is missing the word "word":} Just an FYI. Please let me know if I can get the page I am missing. Also there were a few blank pages in the packet. Is that just how it prints?

I just fixed the typo...thanks for pointing it out. After I make things and edit them, sometimes the things that stand out to everyone else get missed by me! I am uploading the new file for all of you. The burnt popcorn game directions are fine on this end, but hopefully the new copy will load better for you! Sorry about that!
