Lesson plan for elementary music class based on Mussorgsky's "Ox Cart." Use in October to teach Kindergartners and 1st graders about crescendo/decrescendo and mood in music. Fun activity that encourages imaginative play and is based on the National Standards for Music. Your students will ask you to repeat this activity for many years even though it's just for K-1st. In Word format, cut and paste into your own lesson plans. One of my favorites. Turn out the lights, light the pumpkins, and have fun!!
