Children around the world enjoy tales about monsters and magic. This book presents ten popular children's stories, which are used to teach critical and creative thinking skills. Each unit begins with a summary of the story and questions from Bloom's Taxonomy. Following these questions are independent project ideas developed to encourage creative thinking and writing. The following is a list of books used: Where the Wild Things Are, The Popcorn Dragon, Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins, Princess Furball, Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, Magic Growing Powder, The Paper Bag Princess, Alexander and the Wind-up Mouse, The Snow Child, and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
