In my Lower Elementary Montessori classroom students strive to be global citizens. In doing so they record and track particular data applying to our community and further. Each day students record the moon phase, the weather where we are and in another city in another state or country, they research an animal, research this day in history, a current event, and study the calendar. This file has all the information you need and forms! In my classroom I have three computers and on each I have a Google homepage set up that the students know how to log in to if it's not already loaded. On my Google homepage I have customized it to include the moon phase, this day in history, a like to Nat. Geo kids animal site, a weather app, and current event news links. This is all very easy to do, all you need to do is create a Google account and then customize your home page. Search for "gadgets" to meet your needs. Also, I have favorites stored to meet other needs not available on the Google home page. My students LOVE this! I rotate jobs monthly, but whatever schedule you come up with would work fine. Another good idea is to have substitutes, in case a student is sick. :) Enjoy!

Hello Miss Andria! I'm new to TpT and would love to get some advice!! :)

I noticed you do a lot with global awareness at the Elementary level. I'm getting ready to create my first lesson plan for purchase for 11th and 12th grade. I have a website that allows students to consider multiple perspectives on the same news topic (www.mondokio.com). We have a team that translates from about 8 languages into English. I have also videotaped my classrooms and have created video lesson plans that correspond to the topic we're covering.

My question is about pricing. Given your experience, where do you think I should start? I have a sense that anything above $8, especially from a new seller, is a bad idea.

Any thoughts? :)

This is my second year teaching for River Springs Charter School in Murrieta, California. I am a lower elementary Montessori teacher and couldn't ask for a better job. I am very passionate about my job and love any opportunity life presents me to be creative. I love creating materials, being artistic, reading, bike riding by the beach, and a nice glass of red wine after a long day in the classroom. :)
