Students can use the flashcards to learn lunar phases or to put them in order from new moon to full moon and back to new moon. The description on the flashcards also gives students an idea of when the moon will rise so they can view that particular phase. At the bottom of each description there is a phrase about which side is lit during each phase. This will help students remember if they are viewing a waxing or waning moon. All pictures taken through my Dobsonian telescope. Thanks!
