This crossword focuses on Civil War trivia, everything from "Insect known by Rebs as gallinippers" (mosquitoes) to "Robert ___, first African American to receive the Medal of Honor" (Blake). Students won't know all of the answers, but, as with all crosswords, words are slowly revealed as students work. Use it as a quick research project, or pair it with my "Civil War Trivia Crossword" and organize a competition--one group against another. Fun but also enlightening!
