Every morning I have my students colour in the date on a calendar, find the number of that day on a theme picture and graph the weather. At the end of the month, we total up the weather and do tally marks for the number of days we have been in school so far and write down who had a birthday and who lost a tooth. The calendar months without a picture so the kids can do their own picture.
I love this work! I was wondering if there is any way you could send me - or upload a version that just had blank boxes for each month instead of the monthly picture - that way the students could do a directed draw in the box as an added activity as opposed to just coloring in. thanks!
Thanks so much!! Great idea and no problem. I will work on this tomorrow and upload the file again. Look for it late tomorrow. It's Easter Monday for me so I have the day off. Thank you again for the purchase and great suggestion.
I just started using this last month and I LOVE IT! My students are so much more engaged with calendar time now and many of them are starting to make great gains in understanding money b/c of this unit! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much!! I noticed my grade 2s and 3s really started to understand money because they had to draw it out and really think about when to trade. It was awesome to watch.
I love it. I use this as part of morning program/calendar. It is child friendly, multi-leveled and great for a few years. I teach grade 2 special needs..it is perfect!
Thanks!!! I'ved used these calendars for a couple of years and I love them and so do the kids. Enjoy!

I'm excited to try this with my class next year. I love the whole thing. But my favorite page is the "What happened in...". Great way to review the month. I think this is going to be a very useful pack. Thanks for creating it until 2016!
Thank you!!! I love using the calendar the first thing in the morning as it allows me to go around to the students and collect any notes, etc and the kids get excited to see the monthly pattern and see which weather is winning. I did the package up to 2016 as it was a leap year this year and I forgot so I didn't want to forget the next leap so I selfishly did the package up for myself too! Enjoy!
Thank you so much! I have been using this calendar now for the past 3 years and with this product I just tweaked it a little bit. It is interesting to see the beginning of the year and near the end...the kids improve so much with their colouring, patterning, etc.
My other idea was to create a page the kids could do every day that was a version of some of the other daily calendar pages that others have created like the calendarjournalhawaii.pdf or the calendarjournalwithadailymessage.pdf. These have places the kids can color in the month, day and write the date each day they also have some more number work for each day plus you could add your coin idea to it. Hope this suggestion isn't too obnoxious! It's just what I thought I might add to your already fabulous packet and thought maybe you could make it better and cuter than me! HA!

Hi! Love this calendar work. However, you have a turkey for both October and November. Is there anyway to change October to something more appropriate like a bat? Or whatever... Thank you for listening! Katec100
Hi, no problem. I have a turkey for October because Thanksgiving in Canada is in October but I know Thanksgiving in the US is in November. Thanks for the suggestions. Send me your e-mail and I can do up those October Sheets for you.
