Use this {FREE} printable as morning work or however it suits your needs. The top half will accompany your study of the calendar each day and the bottom half can be used as a Daily Fix It or DOL. I will be placing these in dry erase pouches for my students to complete each morning as morning work. Then we will check it, erase it, and do it again the next day! Hope you can use this in your classroom! :)

Perfect! I've been looking for a shorter number of the day sheet than what I already have. This fits the bill!

Excellent format and like the idea of using plastic sleeves so it doesn't have to be copied over and over -- Thanks!

Thanks for this great freebie! I wish that I'd found this sooner. It will be a go well with our calendar and keep students busy during the opening of our school day.
You can never get enough place value practice in elementary school. Thanks for sharing this easy way to keep students practicing and thinking about the meaning of numbers.

I re-loaded Adobe, re-dowloaded the file onto my desktop, followed your instructions, and this is what popped up...
Adobe Reader could not open 'Morning-Work-Number-of-the-Day-and-Daily-Fix-It-FREEBIE.html' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
I didn't download it as an e-mail--I just did it from the TpT sight. I also tried to open it from the little download arrow at the top, right of the screen and when I control clicked i would not give me the option to open anywhere but Preview.
Interesting! The file name in your error message has .html at the end which is not the file that is on TPT. It is a .pdf file. At this point, I would contact TPT through the Contact Us link at the bottom of any TPT screen and see if they can help to troubleshoot you further. You can submit a ticket there and they should respond very quickly and are wonderful to work with! I checked my stats page and others have downloaded this file today with no problems, so I'm really sorry you're having issues. :(

I am unable to save the Number of the Day and Daily Fix it file on my Mac Book. I have the newest edition of Adobe Reader. I can download the file, but am not able to save it so that I can print it when I get back to school.
Thank you for your help (and the great download!)!
Hi there! I'm so sorry you're having trouble saving. I know that's super frustrating! It's probably opening up by default in Preview on your Mac. Let me send you to a blog post I wrote about common troubleshooting issues with TpT files and see if this helps! Copy and paste this into your browser. http://2ndgradestuff.blogspot.com/2013/04/help-i-cant-save-or-print-my-tpt-file.html

I spent most of the morning trying to print this. It does not print with out a code. Please fix!
Hi there and thanks for downloading the Free Download. I hope you enjoy using it. I am so sorry you're having printing problems. I know how frustrating that must be for you! This is a very simple fix. I will assume that you are trying to open the file in Preview which will ask you for a password/code since the file must be encrypted to protect the copyright of the graphics/font artists and my own work. All you need to do is open this in the latest version of Adobe Reader and it will print perfectly! If you still need help, you can reference this blog post that I wrote about how to save and print files from TPT. This will walk you right through how to open the file in Adobe Reader and print :) I hope this helps and thanks for your download!

This is great! Thanks Jamie! Is there a way to get the password so I can save to my comp? Or is there any way to save this file?
Hi there and thanks for your download! You should be able to save it just fine IF you open it in the latest version of Adobe Reader (free download if you Google it). That should work perfectly! :) Let me know if you still have problems.

I love and have your 2nd CC materials. I love this Morning Work Number of the Day. Could you tweak it so that the bottom Fix It portion is EDITABLE and sell it?? Name me a price! Nantramtack or nantack@aol.com
Hi and thanks for stopping by my store! I can't make this an editable download due to the copyright on the graphics and fonts used. Their Terms of Use won't allow it. Sorry!!

Jamie, this product is amazing! How do you choose what number to use each day?
I use the number of days we've been in school. So each day it increases by one and helps us to build up to the 100th day of school. The kids love it! Thanks for your download!

What is a dry erase pouch? Do you use a sheet protector?
Hi Jamie,
I LOOVE your morning work freebie. Could I request that you tweek it a little and remove daily sentence work and add a place for students to draw the number of the day using base ten block pictures? I am willing to pay for this change. Your products are awesome. . .THANKS again!
