Here is a list of 36 fantastic songs that are motivational and school-appropriate, along with the artist. Music is a universal thing that everyone connects with, and students LOVE it when teachers use music in the classroom. I have a "Motivational Song of the Week," and I also play music in the background while students are working to help them stay quietly focused.

I am entering my 9th year of teaching, and I was Teacher of the Year for my school during 2010-2011. I have taught in the U.S. and England. I have taught 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades. I have taught English, Social Studies, Drama, and AVID.
