This powerpoint introduces 8 vocabulary words for the chapter book Mr. Popper's Penguins by Robert Lawson, and Richard and Florence Atwater. Each vocabulary word is presented with a definition, the page number it is on in the book, and a picture if possible. A Guess the Covered Word game is included also. In this game, a sentence is given with the vocabulary word left out. The students are to make guesses as to what they think the word is. The next slide shows the first letter of the word, and students can adjust their guesses. The last slide shows the correct vocabulary word in the blank. Finally, the powerpoint includes a section for students to use to study for a possible vocabulary quiz.
