This is a series of animated slides intended to teach students how to multiply polynomials using the foil method.
It starts with simply using the distributive property to multiply a term times a binomial as a way to use student's prior knowledge to make the rest of the lesson more approachable.
Eventually it shows how you can use the distributive property to multiply two binomials... but also that this method is rather cumbersome.
The last slides lay out the FOIL method and give animated examples of how it works.
