This is a 60 page unit plan that is broken down into six days of instruction:
Multiply Decimals
Divide Decimals by Whole #s
Divide Decimals by Decimals
Multiply Fractions
Divide Fractions
Review of Multiply and Divide Fractions
Each day, there is a warmup and exit ticket and except for the last day, there are notes. There is a fun activity per day (game, coloring activity, matching etc.) to keep the students engaged in the lesson for the day. Answer keys are included!
Each daily activity is listed separately in my store: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Lisa-Blagus
On the multiply decimals page where you explain how to move the decimal, # 2 has the wrong answer. I found that out when I was doing it with my kids. It should be 21.93 because there is a zero at the end. I like your unit though, Thanks.
This unit is really good. You all did a fantastic job of not only providing real world examples, but you provided explanations for each problem and provided the answers. One less thing that the teacher has to do to provide quality instruction to the class. Thank you for thinking about other teachers as well as have highly interesting questions and scenarios for the students.
I am currently in my 6th year teaching in Salisbury Middle School. I've taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and did my teaching experience in elementary school.
