I really do want to help you and am sorry you thought tests came with the portfolio. Assessment would be a completely different packet because it would include pretesting, anchor papers for samples of grade level work and summative tests. The purpose of the notebook is to provide you a framework or system for your kiddos to organize and file what they do day to day (daily work, projects, quizzes, summative tests, etc...) by standards and domains as evidence of learning. Its design simplifies coding of standards and allows you to incorporate the EQ cards, word wall cards, recording sheets, etc... into assessments you already use. The "I Can" checklists are helpful to keep track of the standards that you've assessed or your students have mastered. Again, I am sorry you thought tests were included but I do hope you can use the notebook.-Yvonne :)

On the third grade common core notebook set for $12.00, does it have separate target sheets for math, reading, writing, etc.? Does it state the targets? Sorry, could not find the separate ones or do I need to fill those in myself. Thank you!!
