Are your students learning about measurement? Keeping a journal can deepen your student's understanding by helping them to organize their discoveries. This math measurement journal includes both U.S. Customary and Metric units of measurement. You can use all or some of the pages depending on what your specific students are learning. It also includes boxes for pictures and blank lines for writing. Have your students add to the journal as they are progressing through your measurement unit. They can show one labeled picture in each box or you could have them draw a variety of small pictures (or cut magazine pictures out and glue them in the boxes). You can fasten the pages together with staples, binder rings, or paper fasteners.
