This is an individual behavior lesson on talking for upper elementary students. Instead of the teacher repeatedly having to remind a student to be quiet, this lesson transfer the action to the student. The student is required to complete this assignment, which reminds them of the appropriate and expected behavior. Parents are then asked to sign the assignment. I usually take any of the behavior lessons, whole punch then and file them in my accountability log (great documentation for conferences and parent meetings). This also allows me to see which areas to focus on when creating an individualized behavior contract.
This activity has had the impact I had hoped it would...The few who have completed it have only had to do it once! The others are trying so hard to avoid the assignment! Thanks!
