There are 8 short i word families: -ig, -im, -in, -ip, -it, -ick, -ift, -ing
Each family is on a lily pad and has 5-9 frogs with the words written on them.
The students will read the word on the frog and place it on the correct word family lily pad. There is a worksheet for the students to write the words that they can read.
I have also included word mats with frog letter tiles for each family.
I like the frogs and short -i word work is always great for first graders. Please include single word family recording sheets i.e. a single sheet for just -ing words, etc.
