Students really enjoy solving mysteries because of their natural curiosity. Using Mystery Words hooks students into seeking how words are spelled, finding beginning and ending letters, matching rhymes, and also being able to use those words in sentences.
There are 20 pages with words and 3 blank pages, plus the answer key, and Teaching Tips page. You can change the level of difficulty to fit your grade level by requiring your students to write more sentences.
The 3 blank pages contain three word, four word, and five word lines. You can create your own worksheet.

I love the mystery feature with these activities. My children love to be dectives and figure out the code. I really like this approach to sight words. It brings some fun into what can be a sometimes frustrating process.
