This rubric evaluates students' use of the write traits (ideas, organization, conventions, style) in a narrative essay. The rubric has very clear descriptors for each of the categories of assessment and is evaluated out of 100 marks. When I use this with my senior English students, they appreciate knowing exactly what the assessment criteria will be and how I will be calculating their grade.
