Thanks! I let them bring in the materials to make S'mores (on my griddle, lol) and we have S'Mores, lights off, and story telling time when the final draft is due. I try to arrange it around Halloween...the kids love it! I guess we do what we have to if it means they'll write without complaint. :)

Most of my career spent in 7th - 8th grade English Language Arts; I've been in middle school for 8+ years. Taught 1 year each in K, 2nd, 5th Each has it's perks. I apparently enjoy the upper grades since I quickly moved up levels. I'm completing my 12th year with the end of this school year 2012-13...
