Thank you posting this fact sheet. Hopefully, your work will serve as a springboard for educators to look with a critical eye at the materials they are using with students to teach anything having to do with Native Peoples and native cultures. Well done.

Just wanted to say a big Thank You for posting Native Americans Myths and Misconceptions. Frankly, I have been stunned to see so many teacher-produced materials on TPT - particularly at the K-3 level - that promote the same old stereotypes and other misinformation on Native peoples and native cultures (e.g. teepees [tipis] in Thanksgiving units), inappropriate, disrespectful images (e.g. Anglo children dressed in Native regalia) and even the "Ten Little Indians" song included in one unit. I will be recommending your teaching materials to my colleagues.
