This activity asks students to use the newspaper to design their life. Using several sections of the paper, they must find a job, a car, and a house, among other things. However, whatever they buy, they must be able to afford on their salary. Teaches students about using the paper, budgeting, life skills, etc. Great for AIS classes.

It's unclear how you have a $42,000/year job lined up, but need to look in the newspaper for a job as the first activity? I modified it quite a bit, but having a template to start with is very helpful.
