This activity asks students to analyze a picture from the AP wire service (without the caption!) and try to imagine who the person is, what their life is like, and why they are in that picture. A good activity for creative writing or as a prereading activity in Social Studies. Also good for AIS classes.

This should work well with my 7th graders - I like the idea of having students stretch themselves to think outside of the box.
