This is a thorough 24 page student and teacher study guide and journal prompt for the novel, Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. There is a packet of questions with answers for the teacher and following is an empty packet to be reproduced for the student as many times as you wish. It concentrates on reading comprehension but also looks at literary analysis and literary response and expression. Keeps readers on track with this lengthy novel. Great journal prompts provided to get students writing about issues in the novel.
It is nice to have a few run-of-the mill journal prompts on hand for days when you are at a loss for them yourself. Also, the questions provide a nice overall guide for the book. Does not have very many critical thinking or higher level questions though.

Not bad for the price. The section-by-section notes are pretty much ready to use with a few minor, personal tweaks. It's a bit lacking in higher-level, critical thinking activities though.

When you purchase it will download the word document to your desktop or download folder and simply open...You have to have microsoft word to open.

Before becoming a teacher, I was a substitute teacher as I attended my undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Geneseo. I have been a high school English teacher in New York State for 10 years. My undergraduate work consisted of Secondary Education with Concentration in English and History from SUNY Geneseo. My master's degree concentrated on integrating technology into the curriculum from the University of Phoenix Online. Many of my lessons integrate the use of technology in some way.
