This is a PowerPoint and handout I gave to my students that covers some of the major acts Britain passed on its colonies after the French and Indian War. It shows the colonial protests by the Sons and Daughters of Liberty. It is extremely colorful and informative.

Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Quartering Act, Townshend Acts, Declaratory Act

Included is the file I used to teach this lesson are 11 blank comic strip templates that your students can use to create their own Historical Comic Strip.

This is the first way I taught this lesson and the kids enjoyed it but I have also taught it using fill in the blank notes (they are posted here as well). Plus there is an extra assignment where the students create their own comic and I have included a number of different templates into this lesson the kids can use. You will be impressed by the comics some of your students put together!

Hi,
Am looking forward to using this with my students. In going over the PDF "Taxation W/O Representation revised" there are a couple of things I was hoping you could fix.
On the "Stamp Act is Repealed" page, in the crowd picture caption it says "...burned effigies and destroyed (and there is nothing else). There is a word or two missing. On the same page, right above the title "The Declaratory Act" is says in the box "October 1765...Delegates from the colonies met at the Stamp Act (I think Congress is missing). On the page "Townshend Acts of 1767" the text box under the crowd scene cuts off the word "Parliament" and underneath the Daughter of Liberty in the box on the left it misspells the word THROUGH Britain. And in the Powerpoint presentation, on the title page, I think the word should be "paid" not "payed." Thanks so much. I can't wait to use this.

I just purchased your No Taxation without Representation Comic Lesson Plan. I am unable to extract the files. I am very familiar with zip files and have been able to extract zip files from other purchases. I also have programs to support the format in which you saved the files. I have tried downloading it several times from TpT. I believe there is something wrong with the file. Could you check on this for me?

Thanks a lot!

What program should I use to open this lesson? When I try to open it I am told that it is incomplete and that some of the content is unreadable. Thank you.
