This sort includes nonfiction text features, their definitions, and an example of each. This sort can be done in small groups during instruction for reinforcement. Or this is a perfect sort of center work.
Nonfiction text features included are: title page, table of contents, illustrations, diagram, labels, maps, charts, graphs, types of print, close ups, cutaways, timeline, headings, captions, photographs, glossary, & index. You can use them all or only include the features you are studying in your class.
