Easy to use and ready-made! This worksheet allows students to practice the four main rules of creating plural nouns by brainstorming words that fit in each category. Another variation: allow students to fill in the chart using words found in the novel they are currently reading.
The four rules included on this sheet include:
- RULE: When a word ends in f or fe… CHANGE the f to v and ADD –es.
- RULE: When a word ends with a vowel + o… ADD -s
- RULE: When a word ends with a consonant + o… ADD –s or –es.
- RULE: Some nouns remain the same when they are singular and plural. (Ex: deer)
This sheet can be easily altered to fit your particular lesson.
