Hello Jennifer, The only security on the files are for copying and extracting. There is no security on printing. If you send me your email address I can send you another file. I actually had this same problem not too long ago on an item I purchased from a graphic designer, while the file was not protected I also could not open it. It could be that the file somehow got damaged during the upload or downloading of the file.
Just send your email and I can get that to you right away!
