Practice writing numbers with this fun number book patterned after "Ten Black Dots" by Donald Crews. There is a place to practice writing the numerals - tell the kids to start at the dot and then keep their writing traveling through the "tunnels". Then add the correct number of dot stickers and finish the illustration described.
Two versions of the book are included for diverse learning abilities. One has structured poem pages for a more "follow-the-directions" experience for younger learners. The second set has blank pages for the students to be more creative and come up with their own ideas for using the dots to illustrate the numbers. The second set also has extra independent number writing practice space.

I have a degree in elementary education. I have taught preschool for 15 years. I am currently teaching in the elementary computer lab grades K-6. I think students learn best when they are creatively engaged and feel like they are having fun.
