I love combining Math and literacy as much as possible in my classroom. These worksheets are a great way to do just that!
Students look at the fun picture prompts and write a number story to go with it. The great thing about these worksheets is that they can be used with addition and subtraction or multiplication and division. So you can differentiate based on students needs.
They work great for centers or for a fast finisher activity. I like to laminate them, or place them in a report cover sleeve. That way they can be written on with dry erase markers and used again and again!
Download the preview for a sample page as well as examples of the different types of number stories your students can write!
As always, if you enjoyed this activity please leave me some feedback. I would love to hear from you!
Ask Adventures in Room 5 a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.

I am going on my 4th year teaching at a wonderful charter school in California. I learn more every day, and enjoy creating materials to help my students, and hopefully share them with you all as well!
