This nutrition unit has a great hands on activity to introduce the different food groups. The students will have fun sorting and writing about each food group. Math and phonics is also fun with nutrition. A long a pattern game is included as well as a fun "subtracting with strawberries" game.
I love your work! I am a Canadian buyer, and so I will be using the canada food guide for my class. I was wondering if you would make a canadian version.. ?
I thought this item was more expensive than what it was worth. I had thought the content would be stronger based on the description. I am disappointed with my purchase.

I love this unit. We are required to teach health, but have no curriculum. This is a great way to get started!
We don't have any health curriculum for first grade so I was looking for something great. And I found it. I especially liked making the food pyramid on the floor

This was not only perfect for my nutrition unit for food groups, but the graphics are really nice! My students enjoyed working in this Nutrition book, and I got very good results. There's also a home-connection piece where students write about the nutritional values of what they ate at home.
I loved this-thanks!

Hi Lohren!
I like your ideas for this unit on nutrition! Thank you! Are you able to update the product to incorporate the newer "MyPlate" food guide and delete the pyramid? Is a Smith's ad a grocery store circular?
Thanks!
