The bookmarks, which can be copied on regular paper or cardstock, are formatted 4 to a sheet. The questions for Chapter 1 (free preview) cover exposition (main characters and setting). Bookmarks for Chapter 2 focus on Characters. Bookmarks for Chapter 3-4 focus on character foils and symbolic elements of nature, and the bookmarks for Chapter 5-6 focus on the climax and falling action.
Answering the questions on a bookmark is less time-consuming (and, for some reason, more fun) for students. Great tool for differentiating instruction.

Help
I have been working in public schools for nearly two decades. I started as an instructional aide in a special ed (RSP) English class, then moved to the challenging world of substitute teaching. For the past 12 years, I have taught all levels of high school English, grades 9-12, as a full time classroom teacher, most recently 11th grade (including special education) and Advanced Placement Literature and Composition.
