Are you looking for a new way to have students tell how they spent their summer vacations? Well, here's one. This 7 lined diamante organizer is in a diamond shape and can be used to help teach parts of speech. Under each line the formula for writing this poem is written. The subject is a place to go. It could be used by students to describe a place they've visited over the summer vacation or any other time of the year.

I have taught for 36 years at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade levels. Fifth grade is my first love. I teach all major subject areas. In addition to my regular classroom duties, I have taught in a Basic Skills summer school program for many years as well as taught workshops to co-workers in whole language and technology. My other duties at school include being "Teacher in Charge" and Student Council advisor.
