This is a fun reading challenge that I put together to go along with the winter olympics. It has a reading challenge to match each of 12 winter olympic events, including bobsleigh, super G, freestyle skiing, and figure skating.

There are graphic organizers to go with most of the events. Some events are individual and some are meant to be completed in a team of 4 or 6. Events can be tweaked to meet your needs on this Word document. Can be done for independent reading or for a homework challenge.

Make a small book for each student to keep track of the events they have completed and to keep their completed graphic organizers. Use a chart paper to make a poster including each student's name and use the attached medals to keep a medal count for each student.
