Teaching your kids literal and figurative language doesn't have to be boring! It can be fun and FUNNY! That's where Oops! I'm an Idiom comes into play! Using some of the cheesiest pick up lines ever created, mix some fun into a lesson plan by demonstrating how these lines could be taken many different ways by different people. Of course, make sure you have kids old enough and mature enough.

I love the powerpoint format, and the graphics are very engaging. But, a lot of these pick-up lines aren't idioms. So... that makes it not very useful *to teach idioms*.

I find this to be completely inappropriate. Providing pick-up lines for a language arts lesson is horribly wrong. I'm amazed that this is a part of this site.

I will have to disagree with the evaluation based on personal opinion of the product's content rather than on the quality of the product itself. The quality is definitely there, and the author clearly states in his description that this is intended for mature students. Educators are certainly capable of making level-headed decisions in these matters.

I think this author is very creative and the concept is good, but don't think this PowerPoint is appropriate for school. Maybe in a high school, but still. There are much more valuable idioms to share. I would say get Principal approval before you show this so you don't get in trouble. And if my child came home and told me about this I'd probably be offended. Personally, I think it's funny, but not appropriate for the classroom. Sorry.
