Use your Imagine It decodable books to focus on and assess reading comprehension and writing skills. Use these pages as a whole group activity with teacher modeling or as independent seat or center work. Each page contains 3 questions that align with the Open Court curriculum and online e-presentations. Students read the questions, answer in complete sentences and then summarize the story in a sentence or two at the end.
This file includes worksheets for Unit 8 decodables 102-106
Such a great resource for teaching students to mark text and record their source (we always start our answers "On page X, _______"). We also integrate your "super sentence" skills by identifying the who, did what, where/when to be sure we have written a complete sentence.

Wish I had found these a little sooner. I've been looking for comprehension activities for the decodables, and it was great to find these. Can't wait to purchase any others you create!

Thank you for creating these activities for Unit 8! We are currently using Unit 7 and they are great for giving the kids comprehension practice. Please create them for Units 9 and 10 :)
These are perfect for my small groups to provide practice in writing complete sentences that restate the question. They are great!! I would love to buy them for Units 9 and 10 too.

I use these for homework and also for workshop time. I rotate their use for variety purposes. I love sending them home from time to time for homework so parents can see that it's more than just reading. They must comprehend it! Thanks.
